APU Staff Training on Google Cloud Generative AI Studio Enhances Technological Expertise

From the 9th to 12th of September 2024, the Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU) Corporate Training team organised an enriching 3-day internal staff training workshop on the Google Cloud Generative AI Studio.

This workshop was led by none other than Mr Ali Reza Azmi, a distinguished Google Authorised Trainer and proud alumnus of APU, who graduated in 1999. His return to APU, this time as an industry expert, highlighted the transformative power of our educational programmes.

Mr Ali Reza Azmi’s sessions offered invaluable insights into cutting-edge Google Cloud technologies, specifically tailored for APU’s academic staff from the School of Technology, including Ms Khalida Shajaratuddur Harun, Ms Nur Khairunnisha Zainal, Ms Nur Azyyati Ahmad, Ms Tham Hoong Ching, Mr Kamalanathan Shanmugan, and Mr Yogeswaran Nathan.

The training sessions covered three crucial areas:

  1. Google Cloud Fundamentals: Core Infrastructure
    • Provided a solid foundation in Google Cloud services and architecture.
  2. Google Cloud Big Data and Machine Learning Fundamentals
    • Introduced powerful data tools and machine learning services for advanced analytics.
  3. Text Generation for Applications using Gen AI Studio
    • Explored text generation capabilities to help integrate innovative, AI-driven solutions into applications.

Armed with this new expertise, APU’s academic team is now better equipped to refresh and enhance the Network, Security & Forensic Group's curriculum. This will enable them to supervise final-year projects with advanced, up-to-date knowledge of Google Cloud technology, ultimately benefiting both students and APU’s broader technological initiatives.
